Hi! This time i going to review
one of my favorite food from one of my favorite place called Moshi Ramen, in
Malang, East Java. Moshi Ramen is a cafe, or more like a small restaurant that
has a varian Japanese noodles with varian toppings, and has other Japanese
foods too. Looking for a good tastes and of course Halal ramen in town has been
such a struggle for me. Yes, there are so many Japanese restaurants that
already famous, and delicious, too. But i think Moshi Ramen has the most authentic
taste than the other Japanese Restaurants’ in town, and with an affordable price!
So, back in 2016, was the first
time i came to Moshi Ramen. That time i ordered one of their ramen called Shifudo Ramen (with tempura shrimp, narutomaki,
seaweed, and gyoza), yakitori (chicken pieces grilled on a skewer), and green
tea. They have a tagline “Halal, tasty, no worry!”, i certainly didn’t expected
much at first, but it turned out that i’ve addicted to all the food there since
then.
What’s the special thing about
the ramen? Well, everything’s special for me.
The noodle is really good, i think it’s a lot thicker than any ramen in
other places, and chewy, which i like the most. the flavour of the broth soup
is light. It's quite hard to describe, there are savory sweet, salty, and a
distinctive flavor of seaweed. It’s not overly heavy, it’s the type of broth
that i could just keep eating and not feel like it’s too much for me. And i
like all of the toppings, the tempura shrimp is big and cooked perfectly
crunchy, the egg is soft-boiled, and the beef is thicker than you find at a
regular ramen places, the portion for one ramen is just perfect. So, believe
me, it is that good. Anyway, you can choose your own ramen, they offer white
noodle and black noodle, just choose which one do you prefer, and choose what
toppings do you like to add.
Talk about the place, this place
basically is just a small-cozy place with a Japanese’s interior design that
gives you warm vibes. There may be only 9 wooden tables lined up like street
stalls on a side street of Tokyo, a tv, and an Air-Conditioning. The place is
clean, suitable for eating with friends or family. And no worry because it has
a Musholla in the basement.
The service in Moshi Ramen is
really good. The waiters and waitresses are so kind, everytime a customer comes
in they’ll be warmly welcoming you with Japanese language "irasshaimase!" and "arigatou gozaimase" when you go out. This place opens everyday from 9 am to 9 pm, except in Friday, it opens from 2pm.
From year to year, Moshi ramen
never disappoints me, they keep upgrading their menu with much more variations
like sushi, tsukemen, spicy gyoza, bento box, omurice, and even Matcha ice
cream for a dessert. The price is from Rp. 10.000 - Rp. 35.000. Although the
main menu is ramen, but please don’t underestimate the other choices. My
favorite food here are almost everything on the menu. But spicy ramen, cold tsukemen,
and gyoza are in my top 3. As a ramen lover like me, Moshi ramen’s been my
small heaven. And, um, until now i still haven’t found a better ramen
restaurant than this. Seriously.
